Job Description
This programme will lead the delivery of critical upgrade and maintenance works for the client's ship lift, a key facility supporting the UK's submarine fleet.
- Lead the planning, delivery, and completion of a complex engineering upgrade and maintenance programme.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and performance reporting.
- Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders, including MoD, Babcock Marine, specialist contractors, and site management teams.
- Provide project governance, progress updates, financial reporting, and risk management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure compliance with defence, health & safety, environmental, and security requirements.
- Support audits, assurance activities, and quality control processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering, infrastructure, or maintenance projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, and project governance, change control.
- Ability to operate effectively within a multi-agency and highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of defence, nuclear, infrastructure, or heavy engineering projects is highly desirable.
- Formal project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ, MSP, or equivalent).
