Assystem is seeking an experienced EIMT Governance, Assurance & Oversight Lead to support our work within the Defence sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the governance, oversight and assurance of the Maintenance Management Organisation (MMO) framework for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance and Testing (EIMT). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring EIMT arrangements are effective, fit for purpose and compliant with organisational, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent assurance reviews, audits and assessments of MMO EIMT management arrangements, reporting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Request, review and evaluate documentation, records and evidence to support assurance and oversight activities.
  • Provide independent assurance that EIMT policies, procedures and safety management systems are operating effectively and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent Assystem and its clients on MMO EIMT governance, oversight and assurance matters, engaging with regulators, contractors and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver EIMT assurance and oversight activities, including independent reviews, assessments and compliance reporting.
  • Produce assurance outputs and recommendations to drive continuous improvement of EIMT policies, management systems and supporting processes.
  • Verify that EIMT activities are undertaken by competent, qualified and appropriately certified personnel and contractors.
  • Identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement to enhance safety, compliance and operational performance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of robust, transparent and evidence-based assurance frameworks and performance measures.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Essential: Knowledge of maintenance management systems for infrastructure; Strong Stakeholder Management skills.
  • Desirable: Experience of working with the Ministry of Defence / HM Government; Experience of working in highly regulated environments.

Qualifications & Training

  • Essential: Degree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
