Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! Join our team as an Engineering Manager for the Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) department, supporting the design and delivery of cutting‑edge SMR nuclear power plants. In this role, you’ll coordinate and lead projects across EC&I, overseeing a wide range of systems vital to nuclear safety. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll apply your expertise in project planning and management to ensure successful, on‑time, and on‑budget project delivery. With your strong technical background in EC&I and experience in managing complex, safety‑critical programmes (ideally within the nuclear or similar industries), you’ll be at the forefront of driving excellence in the power industry.
Your mission:
- Develop Technical Programmes: Create and manage EC&I technical programmes covering the entire product lifecycle.
- Detailed Task Planning: Plan tasks meticulously, accounting for dependencies from other areas.
- Ensure Work Integration: Foster seamless collaboration across work areas to deliver integrated solutions.
- Scope Management: Monitor tasks closely and implement protocols to adjust programme scopes as needed.
- Resource Alignment: Identify resource gaps and assist the Chief Design Engineer (CDE) in crafting resourcing strategies.
- Budget Development: Help establish and maintain budgets for EC&I programmes.
- Financial Oversight: Track work pack budgets, forecast, and monitor actual costs versus projections.
- Risk Monitoring: Manage programme risks, including both threats and opportunities.
- Contract Staff Management: Oversee and optimize resource allocation for contract staff.

Qualifications
- Experience: In EC&I design and management, with expertise in two areas (e.g., Control Systems, Radiometrics, Functional Safety).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with highly regulated industries, control systems, design phases, configuration management, and life cycle stages.
- Leadership Skills: Proven abilities in leading teams, managing project complexities, and driving continuous improvement.
- Qualifications: Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering; advanced degrees are a plus.
