Job Description

The BIM & Information Management Coordinator will support the development, implementation and continual improvement of Information Management and Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across the Euston and FNICAP projects. The role is responsible for maintaining project information management systems, supporting Common Data Environment (CDE) compliance, developing reporting and dashboards, coordinating BIM activities, delivering training, and ensuring project documentation remains aligned with ISO 19650 requirements and industry best practice. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, document controllers, engineers, suppliers and stakeholders to improve information quality, compliance, reporting and digital delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Information Management & CDE Administration
    • Create, maintain and continuously improve project BIM and Information Management SharePoint sites.
    • Ensure procedures, templates, guidance documents, training materials and useful resources remain current and accessible.
    • Support the administration and configuration of project Common Data Environments (CDEs), including REBIM.
    • Assist with the implementation and ongoing development of Information Management processes and controls.
    • Maintain project information structures, permissions and documentation repositories.
  • BIM Training & User Support
    • Issue, manage and analyse BIM competency and training questionnaires.
    • Identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted training programmes.
    • Create and deliver BIM and Information Management training, workshops, presentations and user guides.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to project teams, suppliers and document controllers.
    • Capture common queries and convert these into guidance notes, FAQs and training materials.
  • Reporting, Analytics & Performance Monitoring
    • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor Information Management performance.
    • Produce monthly compliance and document health reporting using data from REBIM and other project information sources.
    • Analyse key performance indicators relating to document quality and compliance, metadata completeness, delivery against programme dates, overdue documentation, team and supplier performance, and Information Management maturity.
    • Identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Information Management Compliance & Assurance
    • Develop and maintain compliance trackers and monitoring tools.
    • Conduct regular information assurance and housekeeping checks.
    • Monitor project compliance with document control and Information Management procedures.
    • Verify document naming conventions, metadata quality, revision management, status codes, approvals and workflows, filing structures, and information delivery requirements.
    • Record non-compliances, corrective actions and lessons learned.
    • Support teams in resolving compliance issues and improving working practices.
  • BIM Coordination & Model Management
    • Maintain project models within OpenTree and associated information repositories.
    • Manage superseded model versions and ensure current information is available to project teams.
    • Upload, organise and maintain approved model information.
    • Support model coordination activities and, where required, undertake or coordinate clash detection processes.
    • Monitor clash resolution activities and assist with the management of model coordination issues.
    • Develop model performance reporting and dashboards where appropriate.
  • Information Management Documentation
    • Maintain and update core project Information Management documentation including Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), Information Production Requirements (IPR), BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project procedures, templates and guidance documents, and responsibility matrices.
    • Support the ongoing review and development of EIR and IPR documentation.
    • Ensure project documentation remains aligned with ISO 19650 standards and industry best practice.
    • Coordinate updates required following changes to standards, terminology, roles and responsibilities.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve BIM and Information Management processes.
    • Capture lessons learned, recurring issues and successful practices across projects.
    • Develop meaningful KPIs that demonstrate project performance and compliance.
    • Support project mobilisation activities through the application of lessons learned.
    • Contribute to the development of improved reporting, training, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Professional Development
    • Maintain and develop technical BIM knowledge and Information Management expertise.
    • Undertake ongoing training in BIM and digital engineering software including Revit, Solibri and Navisworks.
    • Remain informed of developments in ISO 19650, Information Management standards and industry best practice.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting BIM and Information Management activities on complex infrastructure, construction or engineering projects.
  • Understanding of ISO 19650 Information Management principles and requirements.
  • Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs).
  • Knowledge of document control processes and information governance.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards and performance metrics using Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience maintaining BIM and Information Management documentation.
  • Ability to deliver training and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across project teams.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of clash detection and model coordination workflows.
  • Experience working on rail, defence, infrastructure or major programme environments.
  • Experience supporting TIDP and MIDP management.
  • Familiarity with digital assurance and compliance auditing processes.
