To ensure a viable, efficient, and reliable energy future for all, Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Document Controller to work at our customer's site in Derby on a contract basis. This will be for an initial 6 months.
Takes responsibility for the control and delivery of smaller, lower complexity projects or aspects of project portfolios. Monitor, review and report the status of projects / project portfolios in accordance with the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan and agreed with the Project Sponsor and Project Manager.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Effective delivery of smaller, lower complexity projects or aspects of project portfolios.
- Report the status of projects / project portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the project.
- Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators.
- Review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification.
- Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures to achieve the project success criteria.
- Accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders in accordance with the defined timescales.
- Facilitated and manage risk and opportunity activities.
Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience.
- Member of a professional body and working towards an APMP qualification or equivalent.
- Working towards APMP / PMI qualification or equivalent (or assessed as possessing equivalent knowledge / experience to the same standard).
- Experience in the development and / or implementation of project management processes and lifecycle, and a good knowledge of the project control processes.

All applicants must, as a minimum, achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
