Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for cost management and reporting? We’re looking for a Cost Manager to oversee financial processes, track budgets, and ensure affordability across our portfolio of projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Financial Reporting & Cost Management: Support the management team with all cost-related matters, ensuring timely reporting. Produce monthly cost reports and provide informed forecasts for the financial year and full project lifecycle. Track and review costs to ensure continued affordability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Support: Collaborate with Project Managers & Programme Managers in monthly Finance & Delivery Reviews. Engage with Finance Teams, ensuring all necessary supporting evidence is available. Attend monthly supplier project meetings, performing contract administration as needed via CEMAR.
  • Cost Engineering & Forecasting: Support Cost Engineers, providing guidance and development opportunities. Work closely with the Project Planner to ensure forecasts are aligned with the programme. Monitor costs against changes and participate in change control/EWN meetings.
  • Procurement & Invoice Management: Raise purchase and contract requisitions and process invoice receipts as needed. Assess and validate invoices, advising Project Managers on resolution of invoice queries.

Qualifications Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Education & Memberships: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar qualification.
  • Experience & Expertise: Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost engineering, estimating, project controls, or a related discipline. Experience working in a Project Controls team on complex projects. Deep knowledge of cost engineering functions, cost control, and cost analysis. Strong understanding of cost models, risk, estimating uncertainty, and schedules.
  • Key Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Proficiency in financial forecasting, variance analysis, and cost tracking. Strong reporting and presentation skills, supporting cost pre-meetings and month-end reviews. Highly proficient in MS Office Suite and internal financial systems.
