The Job Mission
This role is crucial to delivering the civil scope for the Sizewell C nuclear power station. You’ll ensure designs meet the highest safety and regulatory standards while working closely with contractors and technical teams. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with three office days (London or Bristol) and two remote working days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine technical specifications for the reinforced concrete civil scope.
- Support the creation and negotiation of contract packages.
- Oversee contractor deliverables, ensuring compliance with civil design standards.
- Lead technical and project meetings with contractors.
- Identify, track, and resolve outstanding technical issues and design challenges.
- Coordinate with technical specialists for deliverable reviews and issue resolution.
- Approve contract amendments and exemptions.
- Ensure seamless integration with interfacing systems, liaising with RD and client teams.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in reinforced concrete and civil design.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in multi-discipline EPCM projects.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Desired Skills Only
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM and Nuclear Site License regulations.
- Proficiency in Tekla software for civil/structural design.
- Proficiency in ROBOT, Ansys, and RSTAB perform calculations.
- Experience within the UK nuclear sector.
- Familiarity with nuclear processing regulations.
- Experience managing technical supply contracts.
