This role supports a major UK nuclear construction programme and is based around delivery of complex reinforced concrete design and detailing. You will work closely with your future team of civil engineers, designers, and technical authorities across multiple buildings. The role focuses on design compliance, coordination, and technical assurance across the full detailing lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Providing engineering input on building-specific reinforced concrete detailing issues
- Coordinating with civil engineers to gather and validate detailing information
- Reviewing and applying key design and project documentation
- Tracking, managing, and closing technical open points and design changes
- Supporting Minor Change Committee activities related to reinforcement updates
- Reviewing Detailed Method Statements for technical consistency
- Participating in resolution of complex reinforcement detailing challenges
- Reviewing concrete outlines, pour models, and grid-line models
- Responding to and tracking technical queries throughout the detailing phase
- Coordinating and surveilling technical submissions and deliverables
- Additional duties include supporting tender evaluations, preparing pre-job briefs, producing building-specific handover documentation, and ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and technical baseline.
- Nuclear experience is welcomed but not essential. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
- Design office experience in reinforced concrete structures
- Knowledge of Eurocodes and RC detailing standards
- Experience using ETC-C for reinforced concrete detailing
- Understanding of BS 8666 reinforcement standards
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
- Experience with Revit, BIM standards, or Civil 3D advantageous
