Job Description: The Job Mission: Business Analyst – Information Management & Digital Transition As a Business Analyst, you'll work at the intersection of business, engineering, information management and technology, driving the success of complex, large-scale digital transformation projects. Your expertise will ensure the seamless flow of information, alignment of business processes with enterprise digital solutions, and successful adoption of new ways of working.
This is an exciting opportunity to guide stakeholders through digital transition initiatives, helping shape and implement solutions involving Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Information Management and enterprise platforms such as Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), Asset Suite 9 and similar enterprise solutions.
Working closely with business leaders, architects, developers and delivery teams, you will ensure that business requirements, information requirements and process improvements translate into sustainable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Information Requirements Management: Work with business stakeholders to define Information Requirements, ensuring critical data is available in the right tools at the right time. Elicit, analyse, document and manage business, functional and information requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain Requirements Catalogues, traceability matrices and business process documentation. Identify systems integration needs, reporting requirements, data governance requirements and opportunities for information model development. Support the implementation and optimisation of PLM, ALM and Information Management solutions.
- Digital Transition & Change Management: Support digital transformation initiatives and business change programmes associated with the implementation of enterprise information management systems. Assess current and future business processes and define transition strategies that support adoption of new digital capabilities. Identify organisational impacts, stakeholder readiness requirements and process changes needed to enable successful digital transformation. Work with stakeholders to embed new ways of working and maximise business value from digital investments. Support business readiness, adoption and change management activities throughout programme delivery.
- Information Flow Analysis & Process Architecture: Analyse and document information flows, identifying data quality risks, governance challenges and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain business process models using BPMN and recognised process modelling techniques. Assess end-to-end information flows across engineering, project delivery, asset management and operational functions. Support the definition of information architectures, information lifecycles and data management frameworks. Identify opportunities to standardise and optimise business processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, developers and digital delivery teams. Guide business stakeholders through Information Management, PLM and ALM transformation initiatives. Collaborate with Information Architects, Process Architects and Development Teams to deliver integrated digital solutions. Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder engagement activities to resolve complex business challenges. Support solution development by ensuring requirements and business outcomes remain aligned.
- Project and Workload Management: Oversee a portfolio of 2–4 projects at a time, ensuring deliverables are completed to agreed quality, schedule and business objectives. Support the development of Information Management tools, processes, governance frameworks and guidance materials. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on digital adoption, process optimisation and information quality. Support testing, validation and acceptance activities to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.
- Communication and Reporting: Develop and present communication materials, training content and guidance documentation to support business readiness and digital adoption. Promote Information Management, PLM and digital engineering best practice across the organisation. Communicate complex technical and process concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support stakeholder engagement activities and provide regular reporting on progress, risks and opportunities.
- Essential Skills: 5+ years' experience in Business Analysis within large-scale digital transformation, Information Management or enterprise systems projects. Proven ability to elicit, document and manage business, functional and information requirements. Strong understanding of requirements management, requirements traceability and change control processes. Experience of business process modelling using BPMN or equivalent methodologies. Experience supporting digital transformation and organisational change initiatives. Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple disciplines and organisational levels. Experience working within engineering, infrastructure, asset management or project delivery environments. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, with the ability to create process flows, stakeholder maps and visual documentation. Excellent facilitation, communication and workshop leadership skills.
- Desirable Skills: Experience supporting the implementation, configuration or business adoption of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), Asset Suite 9 or similar enterprise platforms. Background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or Engineering Lifecycle Management. Experience in Information Architecture, Information Management, Master Data Management or Enterprise Data Management. Knowledge of Digital Thread, Digital Engineering and Systems Engineering principles. Experience within highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace, Transport or Critical National Infrastructure. Understanding of data governance, metadata management and information lifecycle management. Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Analysis, Information Management, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline. The following certifications and training would be advantageous: BCS Business Analysis Certification, BPMN Process Modelling, PROSCI or equivalent Change Management Certification, Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Training and Certification, Asset Suite 9 Training and Certification, TOGAF Foundation, DAMA Data Management Certification, Agile, Scrum or SAFe Qualifications, Systems Engineering or INCOSE Foundation Certification.
What We're Looking For: We're looking for someone who has successfully supported organisations through digital transformation and the adoption of enterprise information systems. The ideal candidate will understand how business processes, requirements, information management and technology platforms work together to deliver business value. Experience of implementing or supporting PLM, ALM, 3DEXPERIENCE, Asset Suite, Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP or similar enterprise solutions would be highly relevant. Candidates with experience in complex engineering, infrastructure or highly regulated environments will be particularly well suited to the role. This position would suit a Business Analyst who combines strong requirements management and BPMN process modelling skills with practical experience of digital transition, organisational change, Information Management and enterprise system implementation.
