Job Description

You will coordinate integrated Mechanical Planning activities across Nuclear Island, Conventional Island and Balance of Plant scopes. The role supports complex piping, HVAC and M&E installation, commissioning and system handover activities within regulated nuclear environments.

  • Develop integrated Mechanical construction and commissioning schedules using Primavera P6
  • Coordinate Mechanical installation sequencing with multidisciplinary construction and engineering teams
  • Plan Mechanical installation, pressure testing and commissioning integration activities
  • Monitor project performance, schedule risks and critical path mitigation opportunities
  • Produce KPI dashboards, variance analysis and detailed progress reporting documentation
  • Interface with subcontractors, commissioning teams and client project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear quality assurance and governance requirements
  • Integrate procurement, fabrication and installation activities into project schedules
  • Support mechanical completion, testing and commissioning turnover planning activities
  • Support workface planning and short-term construction look-ahead programme development

Qualifications

  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent engineering or construction management qualification
  • Proven Planning Engineer experience on major installation projects
  • Strong understanding of industrial Piping, HVAC or M&E systems and construction methodologies
  • Advanced practical experience using Oracle Primavera P6 planning software
  • Experience developing fully logic-linked construction and commissioning schedules
  • Background within nuclear, energy, oil and gas or regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, turnover and mechanical completion processes
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies
  • Strong analytical capability with reporting and critical path analysis experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI or Synchro advantageous
