This is a site based role, open to professionals within commutable distance of Bridgwater, or relocation support available where appropriate. You will support industrial safety arrangements for a nuclear operational site entering commissioning. Your role ensures safe transition from construction into commissioning and operational readiness. You will embed a strong industrial safety culture within your future team during critical project missions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CommOps Industrial Safety Management System processes
- Support transition of industrial safety arrangements from construction to operations
- Provide industrial safety expertise to commissioning and operational training development
- Interface with construction, CommOps, and Nuclear Generation safety teams
- Assist development of emergency preparedness and response arrangements
- Coordinate statutory safety assessments with cross-functional stakeholders
- Promote effective industrial safety culture during commissioning phase
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Minimum six years OH&S management system experience
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
- Experience developing and maintaining safety management systems
- Competence reviewing risk assessments across varied environments
- Clear communicator at all organisational levels
- Background in high-hazard industrial environments desirable
- Nuclear, oil and gas, or chemical industry experience advantageous
