Are you an Environmental Engineer looking to be recognised as the technical authority on a flagship UK project, with real autonomy and serious investment in your training?
On offer is this: a high profile, long term position where your expertise shapes how a landmark programme is delivered, backed by extensive training and development that very few environmental professionals ever get access to.
We are delivering one of the most visible infrastructure projects in the country, expanding their team as they move into a major new phase, investing heavily in training and qualifications for their people, and building an inclusive culture that values different experience and perspectives.
On offer is a role where your advice carries weight. You will be responsible for creating and improving environmental controls, carrying out risk-based assessments, inspections and assurance on site, and providing assurance on compliance with legal duties. You will report on performance, spot trends early and advise delivery teams on how to do critical work with minimal environmental impact. You will work alongside specialists in industrial safety, fire safety, chemistry and emergency preparedness, and build working relationships with the regulators.
This role would suit an environmental professional looking for technical recognition, autonomy and extensive training in a highly regulated environment.
The Role
- Extensive training and development in a specialist, highly regulated sector
- Recognition as the environmental technical expert to the delivery teams
- Autonomy to plan and carry out your own assurance and surveillance activity on site
- Exposure to regulators and senior stakeholders, with a clear route to build your profile and chartership
The Candidate
- Experience in environmental compliance
- Happy to be on site
- Looking for training and career development
