The Job Mission

This strategic leadership role centres on delivering major engineering programmes across the nuclear lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic engineering bids and multi‑disciplinary project delivery.
  • Manage capability development across engineering and technical disciplines.
  • Drive governance, quality compliance and SQEP competence.
  • Represent Assystem in joint ventures and integrated client teams.
  • Shape pursuit strategies and oversee programme delivery outcomes.
  • Build trusted client relationships and influence senior decision‑makers.
  • Support project compliance.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills
  • Proven engineering leadership in nuclear.
  • Track record in engineering project and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to lead teams in complex, regulated environments.
  • Degree‑qualified in engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experienced in performance management and people development.
  • Comfortable working in consortia and JV settings.

  • Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and risk/change control.
