This position is based in Bridgwater with hybrid working (three days in the office, two from home). Relocation assistance is available for those moving closer to site.
Responsibilities- Lead contract technical meetings and attend project coordination sessions
- Drive resolution of technical queries and cross-disciplinary design issues
- Review and approve contractor deliverables and engineering design changes
- Manage contract technical evolution, including exemptions and amendments
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to support contract delivery
- Liaise with Responsible Designers, client functions, and stakeholders to ensure integration of equipment and systems
- Oversee qualification of equipment to align with contract progress and site needs
- Support Project Managers with resource planning, risk management, and budget control
- Report KPIs and progress updates to senior stakeholders
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers to strengthen your future team
- Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
- Understanding of construction, installation, Health & Safety legislation, and CDM regulations
- Ability to apply multidisciplinary technical knowledge to challenge and validate designs
- Strong technical background in mechanical equipment, rotating machinery, or steelwork
- Familiarity with EPR or general PWR design
- Experience in nuclear equipment design, manufacture, commissioning, or operations
- Experience with change management and contract/deliverable management tools (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter)
- Previous experience in contract management and document surveillance
- Ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, site-based environment
