We are seeking an experienced Planner / Senior Planner to support the successful delivery of major construction and build projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ASTA Powerproject, excellent NEC contract knowledge, and a proven background in developing, managing, and reporting project programmes across complex construction schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction programmes using ASTA Powerproject.
- Produce baseline programmes, progress updates, recovery programmes, and look-ahead schedules.
- Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, design teams, and site management to ensure programme alignment and delivery.
- Monitor project progress and identify risks, delays, and opportunities for programme improvement.
- Carry out critical path analysis and provide mitigation strategies where required.
- Support tender planning and pre-construction activities, including sequencing and methodology reviews.
- Prepare and present programme reports for internal and client meetings.
- Ensure programmes comply with contract requirements, milestones, and reporting obligations.
- Manage change control and assess programme impacts associated with variations and compensation events.
- Support claims preparation and extension of time assessments under NEC contracts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within the construction or build sector.
- Advanced proficiency in ASTA Powerproject.
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC Contracts.
- Experience on large-scale build, commercial, residential, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project controls.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong reporting and presentation abilities.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
