The Commercial Lead is responsible for leading a commercial team in the successful delivery of all pre- and post-contract commercial activities across a portfolio of high-value contracts on a nuclear power plant project.
Lead and develop a commercial team of up to 10, fostering high performance and professional development. Ensure all commercial activities are delivered in accordance with site commercial procedures and governance. Define and embed a culture of continuous improvement and lessons learned.
Contract & Commercial Management- Lead commercial delivery of a major Tier 1 installation contract.
- Provide strategic oversight across multiple contracts to ensure alignment with wider project objectives.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from procurement through execution and final account.
- Lead commercial strategy for high-value and high-risk contract elements.
- Ensure procurement programmes align with the Integrated Work Schedule.
- Confirm adequate time and governance for effective procurement through to contract award.
- Lead and manage contract execution, ensuring alignment across:
- Scope of work and programme
- Pricing structures and schedules
- Contract administration and key personnel
- Incentives, change control and claims
- Overall accountability for commercial and delivery-based risks arising from supplier performance.
- Lead cost control, transparency and change management processes.
- Review contract performance and contribute to monthly reporting.
- Propose and implement corrective actions with the Programme Manager.
- Lead timely agreement of final accounts, including resolution of complex commercial issues.
- Engage effectively with senior internal stakeholders, executives, external bodies and regulators.
- Lead collaborative behaviours across the supply chain and project teams.
- Manage commercial budgets and financial accountability.
