As BIM Coordinator, you drive integrated project delivery by coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models and leading clash detection for major infrastructure and defence projects. You'll work within the Information Management and BIM team to ensure model quality, BEP alignment, and effective information management in a Common Data Environment. This role offers exposure to high-profile programs and a chance to shape BIM standards and digital delivery capabilities. You'll collaborate with design teams, contractors, and client representatives to enable safe, efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across project teams and supply chain partners.
- Receive, review and federate models from multiple design disciplines.
- Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and other BIM tools.
- Produce clash reports and track coordination actions through to resolution.
- Facilitate and support model review workshops and coordination meetings.
- Monitor BIM deliverables against project requirements and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Undertake model quality assurance reviews prior to publication and formal issue.
- Support interface management between contractors and design organisations.
- Maintain BIM coordination registers, action trackers, and project KPI dashboards.
- Work with Information Managers to ensure coordinated models are managed within the CDE.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to BIM standards, workflows, and digital delivery processes.
- Provide support and guidance to project stakeholders on BIM coordination processes and requirements.
Experience Required:
- Experience as BIM Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience with Asset Information Requirements (AIRs).
- Practical use of Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit.
- Experience federating models from multiple disciplines.
- Experience undertaking clash detection and dashboard reporting.
- Understanding of BIM processes and BIM Execution Plans.
- Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to chair and facilitate coordination meetings.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
