The Job Mission

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the delivery of operating equipment, specifically valves and fluid handling equipment. This is a hybrid role (2 -3 days in the office) and involves working closely with external suppliers and ensuring successful integration of equipment into the plant.

Your future team will rely on you for:

  • Creating and amending technical specifications for new equipment scopes.
  • Performing surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
  • Supporting technical and project meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting in resolving multi-disciplinary technical issues, including addressing interface queries and design changes.
  • Coordinating technical specialists for reviewing deliverables and resolving technical concerns.
  • Reviewing and providing input on contract amendments and exemptions.
  • Liaising with RD and client teams to ensure proper equipment integration.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of mechanical interfaces (piping, fluids, radioprotection, safety).
  • Good knowledge of valves and fluid handling systems.
  • Capable of producing high-quality technical specifications.
  • Sound understanding of mechanical engineering regulations in safety-critical environments.
