Join us as a Manufacturing Engineer in Derby. You will be joining an Embedded Manufacturing team based at our client site. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to the production team, designing and developing production processes, and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing operation.
Your Missions:
- Improve manufacturing by analysing current processes and designing new ones for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Provide technical support during production issues.
- Develop quality control procedures to meet industry and customer standards.
- Design new tools and equipment for better manufacturing.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new processes.
- Monitor production data, identify improvements, and boost productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry and nuclear safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in manufacturing engineering within the nuclear industry.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design new processes and tools.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma.
- Strong project management skills.
