This hybrid role supports candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater, with relocation assistance available where appropriate. You will support Mechanical and Piping construction delivery across a major nuclear new build programme. You will coordinate engineering, construction, and installation activities ensuring quality and nuclear compliance. You will provide technical leadership supporting safe execution of complex piping construction missions.
- Develop detailed execution plans aligned with project delivery milestones
- Manage construction workpacks supporting safe mechanical piping installation activities
- Coordinate piping installation sequencing across multidisciplinary construction delivery teams
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation supporting site readiness
- Participate in constructability reviews and 3D model assessment activities
- Respond to technical queries, non-conformances, and engineering change requests
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, and quality teams resolving installation challenges
- Maintain accurate engineering records supporting compliance and construction traceability
- Promote nuclear safety, environmental compliance, and strong onsite HSE culture
- Challenge engineering decisions ensuring alignment with project delivery strategy
Qualifications:
- Degree qualification within Mechanical Engineering or Piping Engineering disciplines
- Eligible to achieve BPSS Security Clearance requirements successfully
- Experience using Aveva E3D, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office applications
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport supporting major construction site activities
- Experience delivering work within highly regulated nuclear construction environments
- Strong understanding of piping installation methodologies and engineering processes
- Experience producing construction workpacks and installation documentation packages
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and multidisciplinary communication capabilities
- Knowledge of HSE and quality standards across major construction projects
- Fluent English communication skills supporting collaborative project delivery environments
