This role supports major nuclear programmes, requiring candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater or willing to relocate with relocation assistance available. You will lead integrated HVAC planning activities across Nuclear Island, Conventional Island and Balance of Plant scopes. The role supports complex HVAC construction, commissioning and system handover within a highly regulated nuclear environment.

  • Develop integrated HVAC construction and commissioning schedules using Primavera P6
  • Coordinate HVAC installation sequencing with multidisciplinary construction and engineering teams
  • Plan ductwork, ventilation, chilled water and containment HVAC installation activities
  • Monitor schedule performance, critical path impacts and mitigation recovery programmes
  • Support mechanical completion, testing, balancing and commissioning turnover activities
  • Produce KPI dashboards, variance analysis and detailed project progress reporting
  • Interface with subcontractors, commissioning teams and client project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear quality assurance and governance requirements
  • Integrate procurement, manufacturing and installation activities into project schedules
  • Support workface planning and short-term construction look-ahead programme development

Qualifications:

  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent engineering or construction management qualification
  • Proven Planning Engineer experience on major HVAC or mechanical installation projects
  • Strong understanding of industrial HVAC systems and installation methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience using Oracle Primavera P6
  • Experience producing fully logic-linked construction and commissioning schedules
  • Background within nuclear, energy, oil and gas or regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, turnover and mechanical completion processes
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies
  • Strong analytical, reporting and critical path analysis capability
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI or Synchro beneficial
