You will lead commissioning activities for complex instrumentation and control systems across critical nuclear plant systems. Working within your future team, you will support safe, compliant system delivery through integrated commissioning phases.
- Support installation and commissioning preparation for complex I&C systems
- Execute onsite commissioning tests across plant systems and equipment
- Review commissioning procedures and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Assess as-built installation status against approved engineering design documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting effective system handover activities
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with nuclear safety and licence requirements
- Record commissioning data, test results, defects, and performance observations
- Assess commissioning risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies throughout activities
- Support calibration, maintenance, and testing of instrumentation and actuator systems
- Perform contractor surveillance ensuring commissioning quality and procedural compliance
Qualifications:
- Degree or HNC qualified within a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience commissioning systems within nuclear, power, petrochemical, or heavy industry sectors
- Strong practical instrumentation knowledge including impulse pipework and primary measurement elements
- Experience commissioning pneumatic, hydraulic, and motor operated valve systems
- Knowledge of process measurement methods including pressure, temperature, level, and flow
- Experience interfacing with DCS, PLC, and plant protection systems
- Practical understanding of calibration methods, standards, and commissioning best practices
- Experience commissioning and maintaining safety relief valve systems within industrial environments
- Strong communication skills conveying technical information clearly across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to set up, test, and troubleshoot complex I&C systems safely
