Job Description
This is a hybrid role requiring regular presence near Bridgwater, with relocation support available where appropriate. Working as a Piping Engineer, this role supports the client organisation in delivering compliant and effective piping systems. The position focuses on resolving engineering issues, supporting installation activities, and contributing to safe, high-quality project delivery.
- Support resolution of technical queries, non-conformances, and design changes
- Assist in ensuring piping systems meet safety and regulatory requirements
- Review technical documentation to support alignment with engineering standards
- Work with internal teams and external partners to coordinate technical inputs
- Track and support closure of technical issues and outstanding queries
- Identify and escalate risks related to piping installation and design
- Interface with Responsible Designers and multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Provide updates and progress reports to senior engineering team members
- Support installation readiness and constructability across site activities
- Assist with inspection activities, including NDT methods and quality checks
Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

- Degree or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in piping design, installation, or site engineering
- Understanding of codes and standards such as ASME, EN, BS, CDM
- Awareness of inspection techniques, including basic NDT methods
- Experience working on construction or large infrastructure projects
- Exposure to multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Understanding of welding processes and basic quality requirements
- Some site-based experience supporting installation or construction
