As a Senior Bid Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end bid process, assembling high-performing teams and crafting winning strategies. You’ll play a pivotal role before the bid even begins, ensuring our approach aligns perfectly with client needs. Your expertise will continue post-submission, guiding presentations and negotiations while implementing valuable lessons for future success.

Your Missions:
  • Own the bid process from RFIs, RFPs, PQQs, ITTs, and ITNs to client presentations.
  • Develop winning strategies.
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to define compelling win themes.
  • Manage virtual bid teams – Engage with sales, marketing, finance, legal, and project management.
  • Influence stakeholders.
  • Drive decisions that align with business goals and bid success.
  • Ensure commercial viability.
  • Prepare pricing models, manage risk, and deliver compliant bids.
  • Deliver high-impact proposals.
  • Shape content and presentation for maximum engagement.
  • Meet deadlines with confidence.
  • Set realistic timelines and coordinate seamless submissions.
  • Support continuous improvement.
  • Conduct post-bid reviews and enhance future strategies.

Candidate Profile (Skills, Experience & Qualifications):

Experience & Expertise
  • 5+ years of bid management experience (B2B, professional, or engineering services) ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong strategic commercial awareness (ideally with NEC 3/4 contracts).
  • Proven success in developing and leading winning bids.
  • Excellent project management techniques with the determination and drive to make things happen.
  • Outstanding writing, proofreading, and editing skills with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and channels.
  • A natural multi-tasker with ability to track and manage multiple projects and perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications & Tools
  • Graduate degree (or equivalent experience).
  • APMP Foundation (Practitioner or Professional level desirable).
  • Advanced MS Office skills.

Security clearance: Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK BPSS security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum BPSS level.
