Be a key player in this multi-billion-pound venture – one of the largest and most exciting developments in the UK today.As Project Manager, you will report directly to a Senior Project Manager, and will be responsible for the direction and leadership of activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of a contract and package of work.With the support of a multi-disciplinary team, the Project Manager will involve oversee the end-to-end delivery of critical systems, structures, and components for a number of buildings and contracts within the technical area. Your role will be to ensure delivery of all the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract in accordance with the overall Project schedule.**This is a hybrid role, with approximately 3-4 days based in the London or Bristol office and the remainder of the week working from home, subject to your manager\’s requirements.**️ **Key Responsibilities*** Driving the delivery of the contract and package activities to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements* Develop and implement strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP), setting out how the programme of work will be managed, organised and executed* Monitoring delivery and managing the progress of the project – tracking progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and ensure that the project List Of Deliverables (LOD) and project schedule are up to date* Ensuring that the schedules and milestones are consistent with global schedule.* Ensuring that the LoD are consistent with the agreed schedule(s) and to ensure Contract Partner(s) is delivering design output in accordance with the agreed schedule and the LoD* Coordination of the Task Order preparation for Equipment scope, preparation of Change Requests related to Task Order changes* Anticipate, manage and resolve issues within the contact or package. Identify risks and facilitate the resolution of all issues raised, develop and update the programme budget, and escalate any issues to the Senior Project Manager* Managing risks & opportunities, and facilitating the resolution of all issues raised, developing and updating the programme budget, and escalating any issues* Managing design changes and configuration management* Proficient application of estimating, scheduling, programming, risk, and Earned Value Management tools* Ensuring effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including interactions between the Programme and other engineering sequences* Applying the principles of Continuous Improvement, ensuring that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual**Required Skills**️ A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction or a related field (professional qualifications like MIMechE and ICE are a bonus)️ Qualification in Project Management such as APM PPQ or other recognised qualification️ Experience of working over the full lifecycle of an engineering project, from initial design through to commissioning️ Commercial expertise, including experience managing high-value contracts, cost control, and resolving claims️ Proven relevant experience in a Project Management environment in complex projects️ Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement and construction methods and techniques in a UK context️ Hands-on expertise with Earned Value tools, CDM Regulations, and quality assurance in regulated environments️Ability to produce accurate, complete and fully logic-linked construction plans️ High level of analytical and numerical skills️ Good attention to detail️ Ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, particularly those in a site environment️ Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills**Desired Skills** Experience in the nuclear sector, or other highly regulated environments Knowledge and understanding of the EPR design Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status Experience of major construction projects Experience of commercial contracting; understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDICUnderstanding of earned value analysisUnderstanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC Working knowledge of French language is an advantageJoin Assystem and be part of the energy transition, working on one of the most significant nuclear projects in the world.
