Candidates must live within commutable distance or be open to relocation support to settle nearby.You’ll play a key part in ensuring mechanical engineering excellence within the Hinkley Point C project. Your future team will look to you to uphold safety, compliance, and technical rigour across mechanical equipment.* Respond to general queries, non-conformances, and exemption requests promptly and effectively* Ensure compliance with strict safety and environmental regulatory requirements* Review, challenge, and align design decisions with overall project strategies* Coordinate technical support from external organisations and suppliers where needed* Contribute to the resolution and closure of complex outstanding technical issues* Assess and manage technical risks across the mechanical engineering scope* Maintain strong working relationships with Responsible Designers and stakeholders* Report operationally to the Engineering Lead and support project objectives **Essential Skills*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering* Experience in mechanical design, installation, and/or commissioning* Knowledge of BS, EN, or ASME industry standards* Ability to independently manage and escalate technical issues **Desired Skills*** Experience working in multidisciplinary technical environments* Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities* Understanding of welding techniques is an advantage* Previous experience in a site-based engineering role Join your future team on-site at one of the most ambitious nuclear power projects in Europe.
