Job Description
The Job Mission
This is a hybrid role, open to those within commutable distance of Bristol, or willing to relocate with support from a small relocation allowance.
As a Junior Technical Coordination Engineer (Configuration Management), you’ll support the integrity of plant configuration — the vital link between what is designed, built, and operated. You’ll coordinate technical information, manage changes, and ensure records remain accurate across one of Europe’s most complex engineering projects.
- Assist in managing the plant configuration baseline – the project’s single source of truth
- Track and support assessment of design changes to ensure safety and compliance
- Help maintain integrity of digital plant models, drawings, and engineering records
- Liaise with designers, contractors, and technical specialists to capture modifications
- Support commissioning and handover activities with accurate configuration data
- Contribute to reporting, KPI tracking, and data analysis to support decision-making
- Participate in cross-disciplinary coordination meetings to resolve technical issues
- Perform quality checks on engineering deliverables for consistency and accuracy

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering field
- Early career or placement experience in engineering projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Exposure to large industrial or infrastructure projects (energy, oil & gas, etc.)
- Familiarity with design change processes or configuration management tools
- Understanding of technical drawings, models, or databases
- Interest in developing a career within highly regulated, complex projects
