Your Mission: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to support the Infrastructure Design Authority on a major, high-profile infrastructure programme. This is a key leadership role providing technical oversight, assurance, and integration across multiple engineering disciplines throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Engineering Management support within the Infrastructure Design Authority, integrating Civil & Structural, Fire, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Manage all engineering activity and deliver technical oversight across the full lifecycle, from concept and design through construction and handover.
  • Act as the single point of contact for the Governance & Assurance Intelligent Customer capability, representing the client’s technical interests.
  • Lead technical requirements management and systems integration for an infrastructure project, ensuring end-to-end traceability.
  • Oversee the technical assurance process, working with SMEs to ensure designs and construction meet regulatory, operational, safety, and business requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Design Authority, Digital, B&I, Quality, Construction, HSE, and Project Management teams to enable seamless delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific technical governance and assurance artefacts, working with partners and suppliers to ensure alignment and compliance.

Strong engineering background, with the ability to apply technical expertise within a complex infrastructure and construction environment. Proven experience in requirements management, with a solid understanding of systems engineering principles, including the V-Model or equivalent lifecycle methodologies. Demonstrated understanding of how large, complex infrastructure projects are delivered, with the ability to maintain technical oversight across the full project lifecycle.
