Job Description:

  • Review the Master schedule prepared by various contractors for implementation and monitor progress. Report to Client on constraints/Suggest ways to improve.
  • Review the master bar chart showing all the components, critical components, and important milestones to complete the works as per Detailed Project Report within the time period.
  • Co-ordinate with Client and various package contractors.
  • Scrutinising contractor’s detailed work program, suggesting modification if any to facilitate timely completion.
  • Measure the progress of execution of the Project and update the programme as and when necessary.
  • Conduct Monthly meetings to review the status of all activities and also to identify interface issues with different contractors.
  • Review of work quality and record action taken thereon in case of any corrective works.
  • Review of daily/weekly and monthly reports provided by various contractors along and collating a weekly/monthly management information report for Client’s review. Weekly review meetings shall be conducted at site to review the progress of work at site in the presence of the Client‘s representative.
  • Scrutinising contractor’s construction method for carrying out the work to ensure that these are in line with technical requirements including deployment of plants and machinery, project implementation schedule, health, safety and environmental aspects.
  • Scrutinising and reviewing the contractor’s superintendence, personnel and suggesting modification if any.
  • Inspecting the contractor’s plants, machinery, installation etc., to ensure that they are adequate in accordance with terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Inspect all works and materials to ensure that the construction is undertaken in accordance with the contract documents and the technical specifications.
  • Recommend to Client as to the acceptance or rejection of any part or parts of the completed work.
  • Examine, evaluate and make recommendations to the Client on claims from the Contractor in respect of extension of time, payment for extra work or other matters. Review the bill of measurements made by contractors in case interim payments are required.
  • All documentation compilations required on completion will be reviewed and recommended for acceptance by Client. We will inspect the compliance of contractor on the final punch list and will recommend to Client issue of completion certificates as per Conditions of Contract.
  • Identify defects, if any, in already completed work for their rectification.
  • Certify as-made drawings upon completion of the project.
  • Project completion report.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 15 years of related experience. Preferably minimum 10 years’ experience in Marine mode Construction of Jetty, Wharf and allied structures.
