Assystem is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the delivery of major infrastructure and defence projects. Working within the Information Management and BIM team, you will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models, supporting design integration activities, undertaking clash detection, and ensuring BIM deliverables meet project requirements and standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM professional looking to work on complex, high-profile projects whilst helping establish and improve BIM processes, standards, and digital delivery capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models across project teams and supply chain partners.
- Receive, review and federate models from multiple design disciplines.
- Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and other BIM tools.
- Produce clash reports and track coordination actions through to resolution.
- Facilitate and support model review workshops and coordination meetings.
- Monitor BIM deliverables against project requirements and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Undertake model quality assurance reviews prior to publication and formal issue.
- Support interface management between contractors and design organisations.
- Maintain BIM coordination registers, action trackers, and project KPI dashboards to facilitate discussions with key project stakeholders.
- Work closely with Information Managers to ensure coordinated models and associated information are managed within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to BIM standards, workflows, and digital delivery processes.
- Provide support and guidance to project stakeholders on BIM coordination processes and requirements.

- Asset Information Requirements (AIRs)
- Practical experience using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
- Experience working with Autodesk Revit models.
- Experience federating models from multiple disciplines.
- Experience undertaking clash detection and dashboard reporting.
- Understanding of BIM processes and BIM Execution Plans.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to chair and facilitate coordination meetings.

Desirable
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 suite.
- Experience using CDEs such as ProjectWise, Asite, Opentree, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience within major infrastructure, nuclear, defence or transportation projects.
- Experience producing BIM metrics and reports using Power BI.
- Knowledge of asset information and digital handover requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in BIM, Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Relevant Autodesk or BIM qualifications desirable but not essential.
