Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! Drive the cutting-edge design and development of Electrical Systems for the revolutionary SMR nuclear power plant! From defining system architecture to selecting and specifying high-performance equipment, you’ll play a key role in delivering a fully verified, world-class power station. Collaborate with top engineering teams across the project and apply a structured systems engineering approach to bring innovative electrical solutions to life.
Your mission:
- Define & Manage Requirements – Review, translate, and document electrical requirements, constraints, and interfaces (e.g., IBM DOORS).
- Design & Implement Solutions – Develop, analyze, and verify electrical system/component designs, including modeling, simulation, and testing.
- Ensure Compliance & Quality – Work with Verification teams, conduct technical reviews, and maintain engineering standards.
- Support Strategy & Risk Management – Contribute to capacity planning, long-term goals, and risk mitigation.
- Develop & Share Knowledge – Create policies, tools, training, and provide expert guidance to teams.
- Collaborate & Represent – Engage with internal teams, regulators, clients, and suppliers to drive project success.

Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in building electrical services design.
- Proficiency in CDM Regulation application.
- Expertise in space management, cable routing, and cable management.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in a relevant discipline.
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

BPSS and SC required. Ability to travel Assystem offices and customer sites within UK. To undertake work packages supporting major UK and international Nuclear Clients. Previous experience in electrical power generation or the nuclear sector an advantage.
