We are looking for a Project Manager to join us as part of a construction support services team on a major nuclear project. In this dynamic role, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of work packages, ensuring the successful delivery of essential infrastructure that underpins the wider project. This is a fast-paced and reactive environment where no two days are the same. You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors, leading delivery while managing interfaces and impacts across the broader programme.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of assigned work packages across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Define scope, develop delivery strategies, and align with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP)
- Create and manage schedules, budgets, risk logs, and reporting frameworks
- Ensure delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and escalate where needed
- Build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders across the project
- Drive performance through regular reviews, progress tracking, and continuous improvement
- Ensure all deliverables are completed in line with agreed requirements
- Champion lessons learned and knowledge sharing
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale, complex environments
- Strong knowledge of project management principles (aligned to APM standards or equivalent)
- Experience delivering EPC or EPCM projects
- Solid understanding of construction activities, contract management, and procurement
- Demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule, risk, and change effectively
- Experience working within NEC and/or FIDIC contract frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to lead diverse teams and drive delivery in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Experience in regulated industries (nuclear, energy, infrastructure) is highly desirable
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
- Professional Project Management qualification (e.g. APM PPQ or equivalent)
- Chartered status (or working towards) preferred
- French language skills are advantageous but not essential
