Key responsibilities for the Finance Assistant role:
- Support the Finance team - Finance Director, Financial Controller and Senior Finance Administrator in the smooth running of the finance function.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, update finance systems (Sage), and investigate discrepancies.
- Manage purchase ledger processes including supplier invoices, queries, payments, and accurate record keeping.
- Maintain supplier accounts, set up new suppliers, and apply anti-fraud checks.
- Oversee petty cash, foreign cash, and ensure accurate reconciliation and controls.
- Administer employee expenses and company cards (e.g. Barclaycard/Pleo), including analysis and compliance checks.
- Support purchase order processes and assist with credit control and sales ledger activities when required.
- Contribute to reporting, audits, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
