Finance Manager, AssuredPartners Regions Ltd

Location: Birmingham, with a hybrid working pattern

About The Role:

Whilst overseeing financial and administrative day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for the accounting and management of the client money and office accounts of AssuredPartners Regions Ltd. This role reports directly to the Financial Controller (FC), Birmingham and the Group Finance Officer, London in regards to all financial and accounting activities.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the Audit Compliance and Training Director to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Assist with the development of budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
  • Assist the FC in preparing month end reports to AP London and US, annual audit preparation and the preparation of budget and monthly forecasting sheets.
  • Responsible for client credit control.
  • Assisting in client account reconciliation and maintaining aged debtor and aged creditor reports.
  • Ad hoc projects as and when required.
  • Report to Directors with timely and accurate financial information.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported in line with FCA requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing, calculating and reporting on Client Money Calculation in line with FCA requirements on a monthly basis.

About You

You have a Bachelors Degree in accounting, business economics, finance or related field or similar and are ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified.

You also have:

  • Experience in a Financial Services environment would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding mathematical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Appreciation of working within a regulated environment
  • Understanding of Data Privacy Standards
  • Self-Starter – energetic and with ambition to succeed
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Sage and Quick Books an advantage
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
