About the Role
We are looking for a high-performing European Sales Manager to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive growth across key European markets. This is a pivotal role for a commercially sharp, self-motivated professional with a strong track record in multi-region sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Target new and existing customers across retail to achieve growth targets
- Enhance customer distribution partnerships and identify new routes to market
- Collaborate with the marketing team to improve customer offerings and support new product development
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain and customer service to optimise cost-effective routes to market
- Deliver detailed sales and margin analysis and propose strategic activities, including pricing actions
- Manage the complexity of customer discounts and allowances (Gross to Net) in partnership with finance
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and support risk mitigation
Key Selection Criteria
- Proven European Sales Performance — Demonstrated success driving growth across multiple European markets with a consistent record of achieving and exceeding targets
- Ability to build and execute sales strategies, analyse margins, and manage complex pricing structures
- Background in DIY, retail, or FMCG, with an understanding of regional and cultural dynamics across Europe
- Experience working effectively with marketing, finance, supply chain, and customer service teams
- Business-level English and Spanish are essential; Italian or other European languages are a strong advantage
