Junior Health & Safety ConsultantLocation: Swadlincote, Derbyshire (with national travel to client sites)Salary: Β£28,000 - Β£32,000 depending on experienceTravel: throughout the UK with occasional overnight staysAbout this opportunityWe're working with a growing, independent health and safety consultancy that does things differently. Instead, they focus on building lasting relationships, delivering pragmatic advice, and helping businesses create safer, stronger workplaces that put people first. As part of a close-knit and supportive team, you'll work alongside experienced consultants who are passionate about developing the next generation of health and safety professionals. Youll receive hands-on support, mentoring, coaching, and practical exposure to consultancy work, gradually building your confidence and expertise. What you'll be doingNo two weeks look the same, but you'll be involved in: Supporting health and safety consultants with client projects across a range of industriesShadowing client visits and learning how to provide practical health and safety adviceAssisting with risk assessments, safe systems of work, and health and safety documentationSupporting the development and delivery of training workshopsHelping clients improve their health and safety management systemsAssisting with monitoring, assurance and compliance activitiesSupporting clients through accreditation and certification processesBuilding relationships with clients and learning how consultancy services are deliveredDeveloping your technical knowledge and consultancy skills through structured training and mentoringWhat we're looking forWe're far more interested in the person than a long list of qualifications. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 Health & Safety qualificationExperience where health and safety forms part of your current role OR experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator, Administrator, Assistant, Compliance or similar positionStrong communication and relationship-building skillsGood organisation and attention to detailA full UK valid driving licence and vehicleWillingness to travel nationally and occasionally stay away overnightMost importantly, you'll be: Curious and eager to learnComfortable asking questionsPassionate about helping people stay safe at workPositive, approachable and personableOpen-minded and willing to challenge traditional thinkingLooking for a long-term opportunity where you can growWhat's on offer?
