Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator - £35,000
Location: Southwest London
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Travel: Occasional travel to other UK sites
Overview
We're recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator to join a major UK food business at its South West London site. With a portfolio of popular food brands and a large UK-wide operation, you'll be joining a busy manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.
Maybe you've already gained experience in manufacturing, warehousing or operations and you're now thinking about your next step. Maybe you've completed some Health & Safety training and want the opportunity to put it into practice. Either way, if you're genuinely interested in Health, Safety and Environment and want to build a career in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.
You don't need years of Health, Safety and Environment experience. What matters is your attitude, willingness to learn and desire to develop. You'll work alongside experienced Health, Safety and Environment professionals, gaining practical experience across risk assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, environmental compliance and Health, Safety and Environment training.
What you'll be doing
- Support risk assessments, inspections and Health, Safety and Environment audits.
- Help investigate incidents and follow up corrective actions.
- Support Health, Safety and Environment training, awareness and committee activities.
- Help maintain Health, Safety and Environment records, reporting and compliance.
- Support environmental, waste and emergency arrangements.
- Contribute to Health, Safety and Environment projects and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
- Basic Health & Safety knowledge, training or some health and safety experience in part of your current role
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing or operations.
- A genuine interest in building a career in Health, Safety and Environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
- Good communication, organisation and administration skills.
- Food manufacturing experience is desirable, but not essential.
