Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with a large UK manufacturing group to recruit a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor for their production facility in South Wales. The Safety, Health and Environment Advisor will work as part of the site SHE team to implement the SHE agenda locally across the site, implementing new group Safety and Health initiatives.
The Group is committed to Safety, Health and Environment and is seeking a SHE Advisor to continue to drive Safety, Health and Environment to new levels:
- Support the reduction of SHE risks and hazards across the site
- Deliver appropriate Health and Safety training
- Undertake workplace inspections and audits
- Support the implementation of the new group SHE management system
- Undertake reporting and escalation requirements
- Support the management of contractors and visitors on site
- Implement group SHE initiatives and campaigns across the site
- Deploy strategy and systems
- Complete risk assessment and risk management
- Lead on incident investigation
- Investigate the working environment for unsafe practices and conditions
The role is hands-on, involving leading initiatives focusing on safety cultures and behaviours, engaging and educating, having real conversations, and advocating for Safety, Health, and the Environment at the management level.
About you: You will be passionate about Health, Safety and Environment and enjoy coaching, educating and engaging with employees at all levels of business. You will hold the Nebosh Certificate, with previous operational SHE experience in an industrial setting, leading practical initiatives that empower and encourage employee engagement.
