Assured Safety Recruitment is supporting a leading clinical services organisation in appointing an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for an initial 3‑month contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment and is confident delivering a high‑quality, compliant and proactive health and safety service.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the organisation’s health and safety plan across multiple sites
- Keep policies, procedures, risk assessments and method statements up to date and compliant
- Carry out regular risk assessments and ensure effective control measures are in place
- Maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills
- Monitor and manage mandatory health and safety training across all colleagues
- Support and coordinate training for H&S Officers, Fire Wardens, First Aiders and MHFA roles
- Lead or oversee incident investigations, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are completed
- Maintain accurate incident reporting through a centralised system
- Conduct internal audits and monitor KPIs to ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain the Safety Risk Register and help drive a positive safety culture across all sites
About You
You’ll be a confident and proactive Health & Safety professional with the ability to influence, educate and support colleagues at all levels. You will bring:
- NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) as a minimum H&S qualification
- Strong experience in health and safety roles, ideally within healthcare, logistics or a regulated environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, particularly in incident investigation
