Assured Safety Recruitment is excited to be supporting a leading civil engineering company in growing their team at Sizewell C through the appointment of an Environment and Sustainability Manager.
The Role
The Environmental & Sustainability (E&S) Manager is responsible for enhancing E&S performance, driving innovation across projects, and supporting the development and implementation of the broader business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review project-specific environmental documentation
- Manage Section 61 consents and relevant permits/licenses
- Ensure project teams understand client sustainability requirements
- Audit and report E&S performance to clients and regulatory bodies
- Support delivery of material management plans for reuse/disposal
- Provide technical guidance on environmental challenges
- Monitor and improve project E&S performance
- Collate and analyze E&S data for reporting
- Ensure legal and corporate compliance on environmental matters
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and statutory bodies
- Investigate environmental incidents when required
- Support implementation of EMS/EnMS across the business
- Promote sustainable procurement with site teams and buyers
- Deliver E&S training to project teams and supply chain
- Contribute to the business-wide E&S strategy and implementation
About You
- Professional membership (e.g. IEMA)
- Relevant Environmental or Sustainability qualification
- ISO 14001/50001 auditor training (Lead Auditor preferred)
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and guidelines
- Auditing experience and formal training
- Proven track record in embedding E&S in projects
- Skilled in managing records and documentation
