Pharmacist Independent Prescriber – Fully Remote
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Pharmacy opening hours are 8:30 to 16:30, which totals 37.5 hours per week. You can align with this. However, as the role is remote, we are willing to offer some flexibility around your work hours.
Contract: Full time, remote. All equipment and secure tech provided.
About the role
Join our clinical team as a GPhC-registered Pharmacist Independent Prescriber focused on safe, protocol-led prescribing in erectile dysfunction, hair loss and weight management. You will work within clear SOPs on our bespoke platform alongside senior prescribers and our Superintendent Pharmacist. The role suits someone looking to build experience in online prescribing with strong support around them.
What you will do
- Review real patient submissions and outcomes from consultations handled by our dedicated video pharmacist team, then make prescribing decisions aligned to SOPs and inclusion criteria.
- Maintain clear, compliant and auditable records.
- Collaborate with clinical colleagues for escalations and second checks.
- Contribute to quality and safety activities, including protocol feedback and case reviews.
- Work our clinical check queue of prescriptions which somebody else approved.
Video consultations (overspill only)
We have a dedicated video pharmacist team for routine consultations. You will not usually be required to make video calls, but during peak demand you may be asked to cover. For those occasions, we look for someone who is clear and warm on camera, able to explain risks, benefits and alternatives, friendly, bubbly and communicative, and able to build a strong rapport as a visible face of the service.
What you\'ll need
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber.
- Minimum one year independent prescribing experience; applications with 1–2 years especially welcome.
- Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail and comfort working to SOPs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
