Job Description
The Assets team tracks all assets purchased and deployed by Assured Data Protection via an internal asset management system and processes that aid asset management. We are looking for a Shipping Coordinator who is tactful, diplomatic, and sympathetic when dealing with any customer problems and showing empathy with customer issues. Strong analytical skills are required, along with a proactive and forward‑thinking approach. Confidence and ability to interact with members of all technical teams including team leaders, managers, and directors are essential. A willingness to learn and not being afraid to get involved in unfamiliar processes to achieve a task is important. Excellent time management and organisational skills are necessary, especially in critical or high‑pressure situations. A head for numbers is needed – working on quotes, with/without taxes – spotting errors or price rises before committing to orders. A basic understanding of technology applications in a standard working environment such as the MS Office suite, web forms, messaging tools, and logistics systems is required. Strong Excel skills are a plus.
Desired Experience
Training on our systems, processes, and partner relationships will be provided, but previous experience in some areas would enable the successful candidate to get up to speed much quicker. Experience of shipping training on all our processes will be provided.
Hours of Work
The role is based around normal UK office hours, Monday to Friday. Assured is a global company with operational staff across 6 time zones; occasionally there may be a need to help out of hours if dealing with a problem in a foreign country or for staff located out of the primary time zone.
