We have grown quickly, and we have a fast flow of new customers onboarding with over £10M of equipment now across the globe which requires life cycle management from first installation through to ultimately decommission and certified data destruction. The Global Asset Manager currently monitors and tracks all assets and licensing purchased and deployed by Assured Data Protection, along with helping develop the internal asset management system and implementing new processes to aid asset management.
This role will focus on day-to-day asset management, particularly the tracking, purchasing, renewal and administration of licensing. This can include customer licences, hardware warranties and support along with internal licences used within Assured DP. Other key responsibilities include updating the asset inventory, replying to queries and requests and helping with other areas within the team due to holidays and absence.
Key Responsibilities and TasksDuties may include, but are not restricted to the following:
- Maintain licensing, support and warranty details including renewals in the Global Asset Database.
- Process RSC licensing requests for new and existing customers.
- Provide input on processes to help improve and enhance where necessary.
- Work with suppliers to purchase and/or renew licensing and chase orders in progress.
Additional duties where required:
- Help track stock levels at our UK and US warehouse, ensuring that we order in new stock based on upcoming requirements, RMA (faulty returns) and previous delivery time trends.
- Obtaining Quotes and ordering new equipment into stock.
- Liaise with vendors/logistics partners to ensure stock is received and updated in a timely manner.
- Track new orders and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Tracking returned equipment – Wiping, selling, dismantling for spares or destroying as appropriate.

- Excellent attention to detail, with a desire to do a job correctly first time, every time.
- A balanced approach to risk, ensuring we get tasks complete, even under pressure, but without unnecessary risk to live service.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; tactful, diplomatic and sympathetic when dealing with any customer problems and showing empathy with customer issues.

- Proactive and forward-thinking approach.
- Confident with the ability to interact with members of all technical teams including team leaders, managers and directors.
- A willingness to learn and not be afraid to get involved in unfamiliar processes to achieve a task.
- Excellent time management / organisational skills; being able to work well in critical or high-pressure situations.
- A head for numbers – working on quotes, with/without taxes – being able to spot errors or price rises before committing to orders.
Training on our systems, processes and partner relationships will be provided but previous experience in some areas would enable the successful candidate to get up to speed much quicker:
- Admin experience of purchase orders and procurement.
- Working with suppliers to ensure SLA’s are met in a timely manner.
- Exposure to licence management and procurement. (Desired, but not essential. Training on all our processes will be provided).
The role is based around normal UK office hours, Monday to Friday. Very occasionally there may be a need to help out of hours if dealing with a problem in a foreign country.
