About the Role
Join Assured Data Protection’s Software Development team for a 9–12 month industrial placement. You will gain hands‑on experience working with experienced developers and testers on real software systems while developing your skills in modern development tools, testing practices and cloud technologies within a growing data protection and cyber security environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within an Agile development environment contributing to sprint activities and user stories.
- Support the design, development and testing of software products.
- Identify, investigate and help resolve software bugs and defects.
- Gain experience with manual, automated and performance testing.
- Assist with developing automation scripts from manual test cases.
- Participate in daily stand‑ups and team collaboration.
Projects & Technologies
- Migrating products from on‑premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.
- Developing new features and services for existing software products.
- Improving and refactoring existing systems to support business growth.
Person Specification
Essential
- Studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree.
- Understanding of programming concepts and software development principles.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and within a team.
