We are seeking an experienced and proactive Account Manager to join our team at a leading backup managed service provider. In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with our clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service and value from our backup and data protection solutions. You will act as the primary point of contact, working closely with clients to understand their needs, manage service delivery, and address any challenges or concerns. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that service agreements, SLAs, and performance expectations are met and exceeded.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively prospecting and generating new business leads in the backup and data protection market.
- Building and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers to expand the client base.
- Conducting needs assessments with potential clients to understand their backup and data protection requirements.
- Presenting and demonstrating backup solutions to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and value of our services.
- Preparing and delivering customized proposals and quotes tailored to each prospect’s needs.
- Negotiating contracts and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborating with the marketing, channel and technical teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and new product features to provide accurate and informed sales advice.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience selling backup as a service.
- Experience working for VAR/MSP.
- Willing to commute to vendor offices once a fortnight.
