The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

To assist with managing our pension audit and assurance teams, client portfolio, and service solutions. Due to the strong growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Pension Scheme Audit Assistant Manager, to work closely with the Management and Associate Team.

Successful candidates will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and developing new client relationships to assist in the continued growth of the business. You will plan and manage the audit procedures, ensure the timely completion of audit projects, including monitoring turnaround and reviewing files, together with audit sign-off and ensuring deadlines are met. You will also assist with managing the audit team Associates and Trainees throughout the audit.

You will use your communication skills to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, and you will be responsible for supporting the team with their professional growth and development.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Professional qualification (ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience of project managing audit engagements
  • Prior experience of working within the pension audit industry
  • Prior experience of managing team members
  • Provide support to Audit Managers
  • Experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Previous success of winning new business and proactively being part of our growth strategy
  • Experience of developing new initiatives and methodologies
  • Take ownership of projects, effectively delegate to others within the team and take responsibility for quality control
  • Develop a network of client contacts and contacts in the wider market
  • Willingness to engage with potential audit opportunities
  • Ideally you’ll also have experience of working on assurance engagements (AAF 01/20, AAF 05/20, AAF 02/07, ISAE 3402)
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of the latest Pensions SORP
  • Willingness to travel to clients across the UK
  • Solid IT skills, experience of working with Excel and Word
