Purpose of the Role
Are you an experienced finance and administration specialist looking to join a dynamic and expanding cybersecurity company? We are looking for a Finance & Business Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, primarily finance administration and wider business administration and operational support. This role ensures the smooth running of financial processes, accurate record-keeping, and effective administrative support across additional areas of the organisation. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with experience in finance administration and a flexible approach to supporting the wider needs of the business. Previous experience of using Xero is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day finance administration across the business
- Process sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Check the accuracy of purchase invoices and manage processing via Dext
- Maintain accurate financial records within Xero
- Manage credit control activities
- Administer payment collection processes, including the use of GoCardless
- Reconcile bank accounts and support cash flow monitoring
- Support month-end, VAT-return and year-end processes
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Liaise with external accountants as required
- Deal with all inbound accounts queries in a timely manner, communicating to clients and suppliers with confidence.
- Maintain up-to-date finance process documentation
- Support the business with additional business-wide administrative tasks as required
Skills and Attributes
Essential- 5 GCSEs (Level 5 or above), including English and Maths
- Educated to A Level or Equivalent
- 2+ years experience in finance administration
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional, friendly, and proactive approach
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Adept at using technology
- Experienced Xero accounting software user
- Business/Finance specific qualifications
- Experience supporting finance processes within an SME environment
- Experience assisting with wider business or operational administration
- Experience in IT or Tech industry
- Experience of using Dext or GoCardless
- Experience of using CRM and Project Management Tools, such as Hubspot or ClickUp
- Full, clean driving licence
