Assure Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an Office Manager, on behalf of our client, a leading wholesale supplier. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and able to oversee daily office operations. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be flexible to cover warehouse tasks during quieter periods. This role is pivotal to ensuring the office runs smoothly and exceptional customer service is achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, to ensure the office runs smoothly
  • Answer customer enquiries via telephone and email
  • Take customer orders and accurately input orders onto the company system
  • Deal with couriers such as chasing up for estimated delivery times and lost parcels
  • Sending out catalogues to customers
  • PA duties where required

Warehouse duties

  • During quieter periods (out of season), warehouse duties will be required
  • Book in stock against purchase orders
  • Packing products
  • Picking customer orders
  • Any further duties required for efficient warehouse operations

Criteria

  • Strong clerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience within an office role overseeing office operations and previous experience answering customer enquiries, taking customer orders
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks with a focus on organisation.
  • Proven ability in supervising teams effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional phone etiquette to represent the company positively in all communications.
  • Must drive due to location in Colchester, not accessible via public transport.
