*Experienced Gas & Oil Heating Engineer*

*£18.00–£20.00 per hour for 35 hours per week, plus uncapped price-per-job earnings*

The Boilerman NI is growing quickly, and we have a strong, consistent workload available. We are looking for an experienced Gas and/or Oil Heating Engineer who takes pride in their work, can diagnose problems confidently and provides an excellent service to every customer.

*Excellent Earning Potential*

Your first 35 hours each week will be paid at an hourly rate of *£18.00–£20.00*, depending on your experience and qualifications.

Once you have completed your 35 hours, you can choose to take on additional appointments and be paid an agreed *set price for each completed job*.

There is no fixed cap on the number of additional jobs available. If you want to finish after your contracted hours, you can. If you want to keep working and increase your earnings, we have enough work to keep you busy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants greater control over their earnings and is willing to be rewarded for the additional work they complete.

We are a growing plumbing and heating company serving domestic customers throughout Antrim and the surrounding areas.

*Your Responsibilities*

You will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining gas and/or oil boilers
  • Diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently
  • Completing boiler and heating-system repairs
  • Attending breakdowns and reactive appointments
  • Carrying out landlord gas safety inspections
  • Installing and replacing boilers where qualified
  • Testing and commissioning appliances
  • Completing electronic job reports and certification
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with customers
  • Ensuring all work meets Gas Safe, OFTEC and company standards

*Essential Requirements*

Applicants should have:

  • Current Gas Safe registration and OFTEC qualifications
  • Proven experience servicing, repairing and fault-finding on domestic boilers
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Strong technical and diagnostic ability
  • The confidence to work independently
  • A professional manner when working in customers' homes
  • Good communication and customer-service skills
  • The ability to complete job reports and certification accurately

*Highly Desirable*

  • Experience servicing and repairing oil boilers
  • Boiler installation experience
  • Unvented hot-water qualification
  • Experience with heating controls and system diagnostics
  • General plumbing experience

Engineers who are qualified in both gas and oil will be particularly suited to the role. However, experienced gas engineers without OFTEC qualifications are also encouraged to apply.

You should be dependable, confident in front of customers and capable of identifying and resolving faults without unnecessary supervision. Just as importantly, you should communicate well, respect customers' homes and complete your paperwork properly.

This position is particularly well suited to an experienced and motivated engineer who wants the security of regular employment combined with the opportunity to earn significantly more by completing additional work.
