As an Audit Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive auditing and industry experience, helping our clients by providing efficient and effective external audit services and consulting as required.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Partners
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Be actively involved in the recruitment of new staff and seniors
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff and seniors
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and the Assurance Dimensions brand

Job Requirements and Preferences

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Years Of Experience: 6-8 years, preferably 1 year experience in the audit manager role.
  • Certification(s) Required: CPA license. International hires are required to have passed the equivalent accounting certification exam in the selected individual’s home country and be a current member of the accounting association. For the United Kingdom either be a current and active Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) or a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the common business and accounting issues facing not for profit entities, publicly and non-publicly traded companies in a variety of industries along with 401k plans.
  • Technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Technically auditing knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) and International Auditing Standards (ISA).
  • Demonstrates extensive internal controls understanding and proven success of implementing SOX or internal control audits including integrated audits for public companies from identifying controls through to operating effectiveness testing and conclusions.
  • Demonstrates Extensive Abilities And/or a Proven Record Of Success As a Team Leader And Team Member Within The US Assurance Practice Of a Global Network Of Professional Services Firms.
  • Whole Leadership: pursuing opportunities to develop existing and new skills, which are outside of their comfort zone; maintaining positive energy in the face of obstacles or when dealing with complexity; and, acting to resolve issues, which may prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty.
  • Global Acumen: maintaining a fresh perspective on global and cross-cultural issues; developing a perspective on key global trends, including globalization, and how they impact on client challenges.
  • Relationships: reacting positively and providing well-reasoned and self-assured responses, even when challenged; managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and creating positive outcomes for all parties.
  • Business Acumen: incorporating up-to-date technology/technology developments in their work; seeking opportunities to add value to client account planning.
  • Technical Capabilities: building their knowledge of the firm’s service offerings related to their area of specialization; seeking new learning opportunities to stay technical and relevant.
